Badlands National Park

This was a random place that Rob and I stopped at along our first cross-country move. We were on highway 90 headed towards Mt. Rushmore full force but I thought it would be nice to check out the Badlands National Park since we were so close to it and all. The photos of it looked really cool looking so we just had to stop. Rob wasn’t so thrilled at the idea of stopping the truck lol since it took forever to park it but he was a trooper! No matter... Read the Rest →

Choosing a Venue

Picking our venue wasn’t the easiest of all job, it def. took some digging around to find. Sometimes I felt like I wasn’t getting anywhere but you know what they say…When you look hard enough for something eventually you find what you’re looking for or it might even be better then you even imagined. Rob and I both agreed from the very beginning that we wanted to pick something that would be outside and unique. We didn’t want to get married in a church or have our reception in a dark... Lower Antelope Canyon

This place was on my bucket list for a long time. It’s one of the top 5 places in the country for photographers. It’s really popular amongst landscape photographers. Photographer, Peter Lik shoots there often, you might have seen some of his images of Antelope Canyon since he’s pretty famous. When Rob and I made our 2nd cross-country trip to MS last Dec, I made sure this was on our stop. It was a little out of the way but it was sooooo worth it though. Antelope Canyon is about... New Orleans

Rob and I headed to New Orleans on a few Sunday’s ago! It was our first big trip in the new car and my first time in NOLA. Rob’s actually been there before however he doesn’t remember too much from his trip lol only that he ate gator and drank way too much. So another trip was needed!  It was perfect timing since our friend; Brittany was visiting her parents in her hometown in New Orleans so we planned a day to meet up. I became good friends with Brittany... Read the Rest →

Our Save The Dates

I finally get to reveal our save the dates to everyone since all of our guests have received them by now. Creating them was truly a labor of love for me! I remember searching for ideas way before we even had our engagement session. Yes, I was that excited! I know some of you probably think the invitations should be the main focus when it comes to the designing details however in my opinion your save-the-dates should be just as important as the invitations. Our Save-The-Dates were going to... Read the Rest →

Gator Adventures

A little over a week ago Rob’s old boss, Brian from Elrod was in town and three 3 of us went to the Gulf Coast Gator Ranch in Moss Point, MS. You might recognize the ranch in season two of Gator Boys since it was filmed there recently. I was excited to go on my first airboat ride, I’m not going to lie it was cool experience. I never realized how loud airboats actually were but thank god for earmuffs lol. Our tour guide took us out on a beautiful... Read the Rest →

2012 Favorites

2012 has been one incredible year for me! So much has happened and I have a lot to be thankful for. This was the first year of officially starting my business and taking my photography to new levels. I can’t believe how much I’ve grown as a photographer and how my style has changed. This industry can be tough just starting out and there were many times where I questioned myself and my work. Lets face it, running a small business can be really overwhelming and exhausting! I had to take... Read the Rest →

Basil Olive Oil

So I pretty much have a basil obsession lol maybe its more like an addiction I think. It all started when I ate pesto in Italy and I was hooked after that. I just love putting basil leaves on my pizza and any time I cook Italian dinners! Yum! Which brings me to my next thing… I can’t tell you how many basil plants I’ve gone through in the last 2 years.. I don’t know if I water them too much or not enough or maybe I pick them too... Read the Rest →

Rob’s Special Salad

Since Thanksgiving is coming up next week and I thought this would be the perfect time to feature Rob’s special salad. I love this salad because its very easy to make and the presentation just looks so beautiful! Rob makes this salad every time we are cooking steak or a really nice meal. Yes this salad was named after him lol I know. He also refers to Rice a Roni as “Rice a Robert” but that’s another story! Hazelnut Vinaigrette Instructions Ingredients: 3 Tbs Champagne Vinegar 1 Tbs finely chopped... Read the Rest →

Hurricane Sandy

It’s so hard being on the West Coast and watching as the devastation unfolds all over the on the East Coast.  Jersey is my home and it’s a big part of my life. I’ve had many wonderful memories on the Jersey shore growing up as a kid. I can tell you that seeing how these places can be gone in a blink of an eye is hard for me to even process. Seeing all the photos on the news and on facebook is so overwhelming and sad. Millions of... Read the Rest →
